The University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Omaha Chapters of Phi Delta Kappa are co-sponsoring an interactive panel, social and meal on March 28th at the Ashland Country Club on “The National and NE Landscape—Exploring the Relationship
of Student Achievement, Teacher Evaluations, Administrator Effectiveness and
Overall Indicators of School Success.”

Do you believe that the NE report cards of students, teachers, and administrators are getting more attention than in other states?

Do you know what other states are doing to determine if and how student achievement is linked to the effectiveness of teachers and administrators?

Do you want to learn about the initiatives by the Education Community that include exploring the indicators of performance in schools and stakeholders?

Do you want to interact with professionals with educational experience from six states regarding “what works” in schools to foster improved efficacy? If so then we have a great evening for you to learn, socialize and enhance your learning community.

Senator Greg Adams, chair of the Unicameral Education Committee; Frank Harwood, Bellevue Public Schools Superintendent; Fred Skretta, Lincoln Northstar High School Principal; and Rob Slauson, Lincoln Southwest High School Principal, will provide their perspectives on our topic from serving in schools ranging from CO, OR, IA, MO, KS, and NE. Doug Christensen, PDK International Board member and past Commissioner of the NE Department of Education, will facilitate the panel. The evening will be structured to actively engage each participant and share.

COST:
$20 for PDK members who pay by March 23rd.
$24 for non-PDK members and onsite registration.

6:00-6:45 PM—buffet meal: salmon, chicken cordon bleu, scalloped potatoes, green bean almandine, angel food cake with strawberry glaze, rolls, coffee, and tea

6:45-8:00--interactive panel and raffle of over $250 worth of educational resources;
