Spring 2010 Newsletter

Hello PDK member or future member,

Attached is the second newsletter for Phi Delta Kappa, 2009-2010. In our Spring edition, we focus on three members: a long-term member, a recently joined member, and an experienced educator. By focusing on these three members, it is quickly evident that PDK is positively impacting K-16 education but sometimes we do not realize the "rippling effect" of mentors including yourself. The three tenets of PDK--research, service, and leadership--continue to pass the test of time.

In addition, please note that Dr. Doug Christensen, former Commissioner of the Nebraska Department of Education, is running for a position on the PDK National Board. Your voting consideration is appreciated.

We look forward to seeing you at future activities on March 31, April 21, and June 7th. The International President of PDK, Dr. Sandra Crowther, is the keynote for our final social and activity.

Please share the newsletter and recruit a fellow professional. Also, join me in extending a "BIG thanks" to Jessica Rivera, PDK Executive Board member who is the key person responsible for re-establishing the newsletters this year.

Dr. Mike McDonald, PDK President, UNL Chapter #0015, est. 1914
